Hemp Bacteria Fighting Fabrics
Everything You Need to Know
About Bacteria Fighting Fabrics
The
skin used to be the body’s primary defense against infectious agents – not
anymore. These days you can use hemp fabrics to protect yourself too. Bacteria
are found literally everywhere. It’s on your skin and even on the clothes you
wear. So it helps to have additional defenses like bacteria fabrics with
protective properties. Hemp and silver are two naturally-occurring materials
which are used to make bacteria fighting fabrics
But what exactly are they and how do they work? And how can
you benefit from them?
Bacteria fighting
fabrics: Silver and hemp
These fabrics actively prevent the proliferation of bacteria
by actually killing them. Silver is no stranger to the cause and has been
integrated into such things as keyboards, washing machines, and water
filtration systems to fend off bacteria. Early this year, researchers from the
RMIT University in Australia, and scientists from CSIRO, worked together to
create an incredible antibacterial fabric. Silver bacteria fabrics are capable
of killing E. coli and other strains of bacteria within 10 minutes after
exposure to the silver-TCNQ woven into the cloth. But silver isn’t alone in its
antibacterial properties.
Hemp also has a reputation for its antibacterial properties.
But it wasn’t until recently that hemp fabrics were developed to fight off
bacteria. A company based in Colorado uses hemp to prevent the spread of Staphylococcus infections in hospitals
by replacing cotton and polyester cloths with fibers. Bacteria are known to
survive for up to months on traditional types of fabric, unlike hemp fabrics.
In one study performed by MRSA, a blend fabric made of 60%
hemp and 40% polyester was intentional infected with staph. It was later found
to be 98.5% bacteria free after shortly after.
The benefits of
bacteria fighting fabrics
1. Additional defense against infection. The skin is actually part of the body’s defenses against infection – otherwise known as the immune system. And it’s the first level of protection you have, keeping infectious agents like bacteria from getting into your body. Bacteria are a major cause of many infectious diseases including fatal ones like tuberculosis. Bacteria fabrics add a layer of protection over your skin, further protecting you.
2. Prevent infection.
Since bacteria fighting fabrics add a layer of protection, they also
prevent you from getting infected. You are less likely developing infections
caused by bacteria, and that’s a good thing!
3. Prevent spread and
transmission. In cases where you are infected, or when you come in contact
with bacteria, you can prevent the spread and transmission of infectious
diseases to non-infected individuals, which is a bad thing!
4. Save money on
healthcare. Although not an obvious benefit, silver and hemp fabrics can
save you money. Since you will less likely get sick from bacteria thanks to
their antimicrobial effects, you no longer have to spend as much on
consultations and medications every year.
5. Lead a healthier
life. Fabrics that kill bacteria will
lead to a healthier life, not just of yourself but the people around you.
And, that just makes sense. www.hempthred.com

Hoodies
People today have an interest and craving
for organic products such as hemp textiles and natural cotton made apparel, and
this has become a seemingly overnight phenomena. . What once started as a
countercultural view, which advocated awareness and the preservation of the
earth, soon become a worldwide bandwagon movement that made popular a whole
range of products.
Products such as cosmetics, hemp textiles,
cotton apparel and even footwear, now tout the name ‘organic’. But what is it
all about, and it is worth all the hype? Generally speaking, organic products
such as cosmetics and apparel are simply items which are sourced or made from
100% organic material, and have been stereotypically related to vegan and or
cruelty free movements. Not anymore! Now the popularity of organic products has
reached all types of people everywhere and has become mainstream thinking.
There is a large volume of products these
days that cater towards producing a line of organic apparel, particularly
organic clothes, for men. Among these are organic hoodies made from all-natural
hemp or cotton fibres. Why buy organic hoodies you ask, especially when there are
so many out there that are obviously less expensive and more mainstream? Well,
purchasing organic apparel makes a power statement that you actually care about
the environment and everything around. Here are some of the reasons why you
should opt for organic clothes for men:
Why
Buy Organic Hoodies – A Quick Look Durability
Organic
fibres – These are, believe it or not, more durable than synthetic fibres.
Hemp fiber in particular has been used since ancient times to make various
articles of clothing. It is in fact so durable that even clothes made 50 years
ago are still perfectly serviceable to this day. This durability has convinced
many people that it is worth a few extra dollars on superior pieces of organic
clothing such as organic hoodies made from 100% natural materials such as hemp
fibers and all natural cotton.
Comfort
– Organic fibers provide superior comfort and breathability compared to
synthetic materials, which tend to allow perspiration to collect and thus leaves
you with a clammy, clingy feeling. Comfort and breathability, as well as
lightness, are one of many reasons on why buy organic hoodies, although those
are not all the virtues of organic textiles. Not only is organic hemp
breathable and very comfortable, it is also an excellent insulator against cold,
making it obvious why buy organic hoodies, because an organic hoodie is an excellent
all-purpose attire.
Hypoallergenic
nature – Organic hoodies, and by extension, organic clothes in general, are
hypoallergenic and are perfect for individuals who have very sensitive skin or
who are prone to allergies. Unlike synthetic fibers which are often dyed with
chemical based dyes, organic fibers either come as-is, or are otherwise dyed
using organic pigments. This makes them perfectly safe to wear, even for those
who have sensitive of skin.
These are just some of the reason why buy
organic hoodies and organic clothing. For more information on organic clothes

Fresh Roasted Hemp Seeds
Since ancient times, hemp seeds have been growing
by various cultures as an excellent source of nutrition. Hemp plants, much like
coconut trees, are employed for nearly all of its parts. While some hemp seeds
are usually stowed away for later cultivation, because hemp produces far more
seeds than is necessary to properly multiply, the majority of seeds are often
cultivated and employed as foodstuff. The seeds can be consumed fresh or
roasted. Fresh hemp seeds typically have a nutty and slightly grassy taste.
Consumed fresh, hemp seeds take on a
crunchy nature. However, roasted hemp seeds tend to have a nutty flavor which
becomes more pronounced, and the grasses taste fades away. Contrary to
popular belief, neither fresh nor roasted hemp seeds are in any way at all
hallucinogenic. Hemp strains that are related to marijuana, also known as
cannabis, may possess seeds that contain some degree of hallucinogenic
compounds, but the consumption of hemp seeds, even on a daily basis, is not
enough to get a person “high” or affect them in any negative way.
The
Amazing Health Benefits of Fresh Hemp Seeds
What is amazing about hemp seeds however,
is its top-notch nutritional density. Not only are fresh or roasted hemp seeds
an excellent source of soluble and readily bio-available fiber, it is also a
very good source of vegetarian-based proteins, making it an excellent addition
to health shakes, power drinks, or simply consumed as a snack when you feel
like a snack or you’ve got the munchies. Aside from these indispensable
elements, hemp seeds also contain trace amounts of essential amino acids,
vitamins, minerals, and micro-nutrients which all help to promote the improved
health of the cardiovascular, digestive, endocrine, and hepatic systems.
Of all plant matter, it is now commonplace
knowledge that hemp seeds are packed with lots of nutrition and possess
significant amounts of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. This makes it an
excellent and affordable alternative to fish oil, which is also high in both
omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Employing hemp seeds to boost one’s overall
nutrition can be as easy as munching on a handful of seeds while on the go, or
by incorporating crushed, cracked, or powdered hemp seeds into your health
shakes, power smoothies or cereals.
However, fresh hemp seeds and roasted hemp
seeds are not the 100% cure-all most industries tout them to be. Why is that?
Hemp seeds do not have all the necessary amino acids and vitamins necessary to
keep the body healthy, that’s why it is recommended to mix fresh and roasted
hemp seeds with other foods such as protein shakes, cereals, coffee, salads and
mixed nuts. Roasted hemp seeds are an excellent way to add omega-3 and omega-6
fatty acids into your diet, it tastes great and it’s an excellent healthy snack
for both kids and adults.
